About Ondrava

Helping Malaysian Teams Work with More Clarity

Ondrava is a Petaling Jaya consulting practice built on the belief that most teams already have what they need to work well — they just need a clearer desk to work from.

Our Story

Where Ondrava Came From

Ondrava started from a straightforward observation: many small and mid-size Malaysian businesses spend more energy managing their processes than doing the work those processes are meant to support. The friction is rarely dramatic — it tends to be quiet and cumulative. A planning habit that no longer fits. A review meeting that runs long and concludes little. A set of shared tools that nobody quite uses the same way.

The practice was founded in Petaling Jaya by a small group of consultants who had each spent years in operations and management advisory roles. They shared a preference for working closely with people rather than producing long reports, and for suggestions that fit the actual constraints of a team — not just the theory of how one should work.

Today, Ondrava works with firms across Selangor and the Klang Valley, from professional services to trading and distribution, helping them find a calmer, more sustainable approach to daily work.

Our Mission

What We Are Here to Do

Our work is straightforward: we help teams understand how they actually plan and review their work, find the places where effort is being lost, and adopt habits that are simple enough to stick. We are not here to introduce complexity — we are here to reduce it.

Observe before advising

We spend time with your team first, to understand what is actually happening day-to-day.

Suggest what fits

Recommendations are shaped around your constraints, your size, and what your people are likely to maintain.

Leave you capable, not dependent

Every engagement ends with something your team owns and can continue without us.

How We Work

Our Standards and Approach

Every engagement is run according to a set of principles that we return to regardless of the project size or client context.

Observation-First

Before we suggest anything, we observe. We use structured conversations and work sessions to understand current habits — not what people think they do, but what actually happens.

Confidentiality

Everything shared with us stays within the engagement. We do not discuss your operational details with other clients or third parties under any circumstances.

Practical Simplicity

Every recommendation we make is evaluated for simplicity. If it is too complicated to sustain without external support, we do not recommend it.

Clear Communication

We write and speak plainly. Our deliverables are written for the people who will use them, not for an executive audience that will file them away.

Defined Scope

We are clear about what each engagement covers before we start. No open-ended commitments — just a specific scope, a defined duration, and agreed outputs.

Long-Term Usefulness

We measure a good engagement by whether the changes hold after we have left. That shapes everything about how we design and deliver our work.

Our Approach

Consulting That Fits Malaysian Businesses

Ondrava works specifically with businesses in Malaysia — teams that navigate a particular mix of pace, culture, and commercial pressure. We do not apply frameworks developed for large Western organisations and expect them to translate. Our methods are shaped by what we have learned working in this context: that the most useful changes are often the smallest, that adoption depends on understanding people's actual constraints, and that trust is earned through following through on what was agreed.

Our consulting work sits at the intersection of operations, team behaviour, and process design. We are not a technology firm, and we are not management theorists. We are practitioners who spend time with your team, look carefully at how work moves through the day, and help you find the points where small adjustments would ease things considerably.

We hold ourselves to a straightforward standard: at the end of an engagement, your team should be in a clearer, more settled position than at the start — and they should be able to maintain that without relying on us to return. That is what we are here to help with.
